Hazardous Classification: None  (based on IMO)

Inhalation: Product dust may cause respiratory tract irritation. Molten wax fumes may cause irritation to the respiratory tract.

Skin Contact: contact with molten wax may cause severe thermal burns.

Eye Contact: Fumes from molten product may cause irritation. Contact with molten product may cause severe thermal burns.

Ingestion: low order of acute systematic toxicity.

Section IV   First Aid Measures

Skin Contact: Ambient wax-wash with soap and water. Molten wax-cool immediately- do not remove wax from the skin. Seek medical attention.

Eye Contact: Ambient wax-flush wax particles with tepid water. Hot wax-seek medical attention.

Ingestion: Small quantities- permit to pass through system. Large quantities-seek medical attention.

Inhalation: When fume or mist occurs remove to fresh air. If person is not breathing provide oxygen or artificial respiration. Seek medical attention.

Section V Fire Fighting Measures

Flash Point (method used): >200 degrees C (COC, ASTM D-92)

Flammable Limits:   Lower: N/A   Higher: N/A   Upper: N/A

Extinguishing Media: Water Fog, Alcohol type foam, dry chemical, or CO2. DO NOT USE DIRECT STREAM OF WATER.

Special Fire Fighting Procedure: Firefighters should wear protective equipment and self-contained breathing apparatus with full face-piece in positive pressure mode. Move containers from fire area if can be done without risk. Use water to keep fire-exposed containers cool.

Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazard: As with most solid or particulate organic material, extremely high dust concentrate in air may result in a potential fire hazard. Good housekeeping practices will prevent any significant accumulations.

Section VI Accidental Release Measures

Steps to be taken in case material is released or spilled: Seep up material and place in appropriate disposal container. If molten wax-contain spill as much as possible and let molten wax cool. Once solid, place material in appropriate disposal container.

Section VII Handling and Storage

Precautions to take in handling and storage: Keep container closed when not in use. Store in cool place. Keep away from heat and flames.

Handling Empty Container: Do not re-use. Follow all MSDS/Label precautions even after container is emptied because it may retain product residues.

Section VIII Exposure Controls/Personal Protection

Exposure Guidelines: ACGIH TLV-TWA: Not established

OSHA PEL: Not established

Respiratory Protection: Normally none required. For mist and fumes use approved NIOSH/MSHA organic respirator.

Ventilation: Provide exhaust ventilation sufficient to keep the airborne concentration of this product below its exposure limits. Exhaust air may need to be cleaned by scrubbers or filters to reduce environmental contamination.

Protective Gloves: Ambient wax-cotton gloves  Molten wax-Impervious heat protective gloves

Eye Protection: Safety glasses with side shields (or goggles) and a face shield

Other protection: N/A

Work/ Hygienic Practices: Wash hands after handling

Engineering controls: Good ventilation should be sufficient to control airborne levels. Do not let molten product stand unused in melt tanks and injection machines. Stir molten product at all times.
